Douglas Shulman
Douglas H. Shulman (born May 10, 1967) was the U.S. Commissioner of Internal Revenue.〔http://www.irs.gov/uac/Commissioner-of-Internal-Revenue-Douglas-H.-Shulman〕 His appointment by then-president George W. Bush was confirmed by the full U.S. Senate on March 14, 2008〔(AP News, March 14, 2008 )〕 and he was sworn in on March 24, 2008〔(Official IRS Web Site (irs.gov) )〕 and served his full term until November 2012. He formerly served as vice chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) (successor to NASD) and sat on the board at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC)〔(DTCC Official Bio )〕 and the World Federation of Exchanges. ==Early life and education==
Shulman was born in 1967 to Jeff and Celia Shulman. He grew up in Oakwood, Ohio (Greater Dayton Area). He graduated from Oakwood High School in 1985. Shulman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College, a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Juris Doctor degree ''magna cum laude'' from Georgetown University Law Center.
